Cathie Lyn Price

Cathie Lyn Price, age 69, of Tipton, MO, passed away peacefully at her home on Monday, September 2, 2024. She was born on September 8, 1954, in Geneva, NE, to Robert and Wilma Johnson.

On April 7, 2001, Cathie married Joseph Ray Price in a little country church near Tipton.

Cathie is survived by her loving husband, Joe, of Tipton; her son, Steven Nichols; two stepsons, Jeffrey Price and Kendal Price (Kelly); Goddaughter, Mackenzie Jo Lutz; her sister, Bobbi Jones (Scott); three brothers, Gail Shotts (Treva), Bryan Peters (Kim), and Jay Johnson (Brenda); her beloved grandson, Justin Hawkins; six step-grandchildren, Kaitlin, Kallie, Gabrielle, Oliver, Morie, and Aubriette; and seven great-grandchildren. Her family brought her immense joy, and she cherished every moment with them.

A passionate gardener, Cathie was an active member of the Glow Garden Club in Tipton, where she shared her love for nature. She had a deep affection for animals, especially her cats, and had a special place in her heart for those in need of a home. Known for her kindheartedness and generosity, Cathie could also be a bit bossy and stubborn at times, but always with the best intentions.

Cathie was a devoted Nebraska Cornhuskers fan and a naturalist at heart, deeply connected to the earth and committed to its care. She loved the summer season, spending countless hours in her swimming pool and hosting pool parties for family and friends. Her love for life was contagious, and her warm, nurturing spirit will be dearly missed.

Visitation will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, September 12, 2024, followed by a memorial service at 11:00 am at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Tipton, with Rev. Harold Nicks officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Cathie's memory to the Central Missouri Humane Society, reflecting her lifelong love for animals and her dedication to their well-being.
