Carl Eugene Wilson, age 76, of the Ivy Bend community near Stover, passed away Friday, January 24, 2014, at his home.
He was born September 4, 1937, in Ava, Missouri, a son of Everett E. and Fern May Frost Wilson. Carl was employed with Western Container and Byrd & Fletcher, both located in Kansas City, Missouri. He was an avid Chiefs, Royals, Mizzou and NASCAR fan.
He retired to the Ivy Bend community to enjoy the quiet of the lake. Survivors include his former wife and mother of his daughters, Martha Wilson, Belton, MO., four daughters, Vicki Middaugh and husband Bob, Lee's Summit, MO., Carla Wilson and husband Cal Pruett, Raytown, MO., Debbie Wilson, Grandview, MO. and Susan Noel and husband Jay, Kansas City, MO. one brother, Jack Wilson, one sister, Joanne McCoy, three grandchildren and three great grandchildren, along with other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents. A Celebration of Carl's life will be 2:00 p.m. Saturday, February 1, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home, 204 West Third Street in Stover, Missouri, with the family receiving friends from 1:00 p.m. until service time on Saturday. Inurnment will be in the Stover Cemetery.
