Brittney Boyd

February 9, 1987 — January 2, 2022

Brittney Boyd, age 34, of Stover passed away Sunday, January 2, 2022 at Capital Region Medical Center in Jefferson City.
It was on February 9th in 1987 when Cliff and Anita Wells Bumgardner welcomed their sweet baby girl, Brittney Beth, into the world in Columbia.
Brittney was a graduate of Morgan County R-1 Stover and went on to get her bachelor's degree from the University of Phoenix.
She served her country in the United States Army Reserves serving in the Iraq war for eighteen months.
On October 10, 2011 in Versailles, Brittney was united in marriage to Calvin Boyd.
Working was second nature to her. In addition to being in the Army, she worked at the Morgan County Sherriff's Department as a dispatcher and Co-Mo Connect as a customer service representative for their internet. She was also an EMT and volunteered for the Stover Fire Department. Brittney also opened 4-Boyd Kennels in her spare time.
Brittney enjoyed living life. She had numerous hobbies and interests. Most of them came from her love of being outdoors. She liked to hunt and fish, plant flower gardens, ride horses, take side by side rides, and anything else that kept her outside. In high school her enjoyment with horses led to her barrel racing. She also liked to cook, read, knit, and crochet.
Brittney's biggest accomplishment was being a mom and a wife. She made the decision to become a stay at home mom so she could focus on taking care of her kids and spend as much quality time with them as she could. In addition to taking care of her family, she was a wonderful friend. She kept in touch with people all over the world. Anyone that got to know her could tell she had a big heart and she also had strong beliefs; but she would always help people if they needed it.
Left to carry on Brittney's legacy are her husband, Calvin; her two children, Justus and Paisley Boyd all of the home; her mom, Anita Bumgardner of Stover; her brother, Brody Bumgardner of Stover; two sisters, Kayla Bumgardner of Stover and Shelbie Bumgardner of Lincoln; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, James and Merna Boyd; six brothers-in-law, Thad Boyd of Rolla, Jason Boyd of Yankton, South Dakota, Scott Boyd of Rolla, Tom Boyd of Yankton, South Dakota, Larry Boyd of Yankton, South Dakota, and Dan Deshurley of Rolla; a sister-in-law, Kim Nash of Rolla; numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives; along with a whole world of friends.
Brittney was preceded in death by her father, Cliff Bumgardner and grandparents, Orville and Sharon Wells.
Funeral services will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 8, 2022 at the Scrivner-Page-Dady Funeral Home in Stover with Rev. Kevin Barker officiating. Burial will be in the Stover Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Friday, January 7, 2022 at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions are suggested to Brittney's children, Justus and Paisley Boyd c/o Calvin Boyd.
