Bonnie Vansell

March 12, 1943 — November 3, 2016

Bonnie Vansell, age 73, of Stover, passed away, peacefully, Thursday, November 3, 2016, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover with her family by her side.
She was born March 12, 1943, in Napoleon, Missouri a daughter of Sidney and Edith Capps Luvin. On August 20, 1960, at the Stover United Methodist Church, Bonnie was united in marriage to Raymond Vansell, who survives at their home.
As a teenager Bonnie worked at Primo Pants Factory in Versailles. She later worked as a CNA at the Golden Age Nursing Home in Stover.
For most of her life, she was a homemaker, busy raising her family, caring for her grandchildren, and working around the home place. She loved antiquing, rock hunting, and being outdoors as much as possible. She could often be found helping Raymond with his garden, especially his hundreds of tomato plants, which she would can for family and friends. Her home was a place where everyone was welcome and caring for her family was her number one priority.
In addition to her husband of 56 years, she is survived by four children and their spouses, Rick and Lisa Vansell of Stover; Gina and Kent Engelbrecht of Stover; Aaron and Crystal Vansell of Versailles and Michelle Wood of Stover; six siblings and their spouses, Louise and Bob Kimball of Sacramento, California; Loretta Klindworth of Stover; Lebetta Whittle of Barnett; Ellis and Marilyn Luvin of Kansas City; Roy and Rose Luvin of Stover; and Peggy Eckhoff of Barnett; 18 grandchildren, Chassidy, Justin, Jonah, Ashley, Jessica, Samantha, Paige, Blake, Amber, Malcolm, Aaron Jr., Kayla, Taylor, Dameyan, Evalyn, Gerald, Raelyn, and Gabrielle, fifteen great grandchildren, along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Rodney Luvin, and one brother, Linzy Luvin.
Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Sunday, November 5, at the Stover Cemetery with Howard Parsons officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:30 p.m. until service time at the Stover Cemetery on Sunday.
