Bonnie Sue Rickerson, age 62, of Linn Creek, died Friday, December 23, 2011, at Lake Regional Hospital in Osage Beach.
She was born August 15, 1949, in Stover, a daughter of Henry and Bonnie Bias Johnson.
Bonnie was a homemaker, busy raising her three children.
She was an accomplished musician, playing the piano and guitar, along with having a beautiful voice for singing. She enjoyed the times she could play and sing with her family, especially her daughter. She spent many hours reading her Bible and was faithful in spending time with her Lord in prayer.
Bonnie's greatest enjoyments in life came from her faith in God, her family and her music.
Survivors include three children and their spouses, Jim and Keely Metscher of Macks Creek; Patsy and Mark Voss of Linn Creek and Troy and Liauna Metscher of Preston; one brother, F.D. Johnson of Kansas City, Kansas; two sisters, Patsy Bishop of Eldon and Judy Lutjen of Sedalia; twelve grandchildren, Brock, Blake, Lance, Eleanor, Victoria, Luke, Kienna, Aniah, Ammon, Kaenen, Azlen and Cherie, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Bonnie was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Henry "Jr." Johnson, Elwood Johnson and Goodson Marriott and five sisters, Margaret Allen, Elizabeth Askins, Ellis Lee Marriott, Juanita Johnson and Virginia Johnson.
Funeral services will be 1:30 P.M. Thursday, December 29, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Stover with Bro. Troy Metscher officiating. Interment will be in the Trinity Cemetery south of Stover.
The family will receive friends from 12:30 P.M. until service time at the funeral home on Thursday. Memorial contributions are suggested to the charity of the donor's choice.
