Billie M. Stacy, age 85, died Monday, October 1, 2012, at the Golden Age Living Center in Stover.
She was born May 10, 1927, in Ottumwa, Iowa a daughter of Thomas Lockman and Hulda Albertina Engstrom Barnes.
In her younger days she worked as a "nanny" for infants and small children. She was a foster grandmother to many.
Billie resided in the state of California until moving to Versailles in 1994 to be near her daughter.
Survivors include one daughter, Andrea Woodson of Versailles; four step children, Jackie Bovard Shorrow of California; Paul Stacy of Arizona; Lori Stacy Hilleboe of Arizona and Janet Stacy Burr of Nevada; 14 grandchildren, including Sherry J. Hartsell of Madrid, Spain; Jim Wetch and Rob Wetch both of Eldon; Paula Lambert Quinn of Gravois Mills; Joel Skinner and Cory Skinner; eight great grandchildren including Brandy Lambert Richardson of Versailles; Taylor and Reece Hartsell of Madrid, Spain; along with other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Ralph Stacy, three children, Andrew Alan Houk, Daryl Frank Woodbury and Carolyn T. Condiff Skinner, two brothers, Roy and Chester Barnes and two sisters, Gertrude Nicoletto and a sister who died in infancy.
In keeping with her wishes, she will be cremated. A memorial service will be held 10:00 a.m. Saturday, October 20, a the First Baptist Church in Stover with Rev. Travis Smith officiating. Inurnment will in the Riverside Cemetery in Payette, Idaho.
