Billie M. Hardin age 80, of Russellville passed away Sunday, October 27, 2013, at St. Marys Health Center in Jefferson City.
She was born May 24, 1933, in Marmaduke, Arkansas a daughter of Marvin and Ruby Ray Moore. On July 10, 1950, in Detroit, Michigan she was united in marriage to Roy T. Hardin, who survives at their home. Billie was a homemaker, busy raising her four children. She was a faithful member of the Church of Christ, where she taught Sunday school in St. Clair for many years. After moving to Russellville, Billie joined the Fairgrounds Road Church of Christ in Jefferson City. She was an accomplished seamstress, making most of her children's clothing. She enjoyed working crossword puzzles and attending garage sales. However, her greatest enjoyment came from spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
In addition to her husband of 63 years, she is survived by three daughters, Sheryl Gardner and husband Bryan of Houston, Texas; DeAnn Tambke of Russellville and DiAnn Gilmore and husband Junior of Russellville; one brother, Paul Moore of Homewood, Kansas; eight grandchildren, Lezli Jones, Talena Floyd and husband Rob, Laura Marshall and husband Jay, Dalton and Denver Tambke and Caleb, Micayla and Lydia Gilmore, four great grandsons, along with nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Billie was preceded in death by her parents, one son, Thomas DeWayne Hardin, two brothers, Lowell and Kenneth Moore and four sisters, Chanoy Weeks, Monteen Manes, Viva Colleen Griffith and Verna Lee Moore.
The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 p.m. Friday, November 1, at the Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home in Russellville.
Private graveside services will be held at the Enloe Cemetery in Russellville. Memorial contributions are suggested to the Children's Homes, Inc. 5515 Walcott Road, Paragould, AR, 72450.
