Bill Griffing

William "Bill" Patrick Griffing, 71, of Florence, Missouri, went to his heavenly home on November 4th, 2024. 

On April 18th, 1986, Bill was united in marriage to Linda who preceded him in death on July 19th, 2023.

He is survived by his son Harold Randall and his wife Lois; son Michael Randall and his wife Wendy, and his daughter Tonya Spilinek. Grandchildren: Christopher Child, Steven and Latashah Reiger, Justin Reiger, Eric Reiger and Rachael, Tyler and Sarah Ward, Dakota Randall and Nicole, Rachelle Mettenburg and Calvin, Danica Spilinek and Liam Spilinek; 19 great grandchildren; sister Wanda Sue Carver; sister Marlene Schroder and her husband Dwight; and sister-in-law Gail Griffing.

Bill was known by every life he touched as the helper, the fixer, father figure and best friend. He worked as a truck driver delivering feed for Baughman's, then hauling ice for Sedalia Cold Storage. He went on to work for Gates Rubber Company, where he retired after 20 years. He loved his family, a good game of golf, and going to car races.

Bill was a faithful follower of Jesus Christ and a member of the Florence United Methodist Church where he served many years as treasurer, lay pastor, cemetery keeper and custodian. 

In addition to his wife, he is proceeded in death by a daughter Lori Ann Utterback, his parents Newt and Lucille Griffing, brother Clarence Griffing, sisters Connie Winnie, Pat Yarnell, and Linda Warren.

Services will be held at Florence United Methodist Church on Saturday, November 30th. Visitation will begin at 2:00 p.m. and the ceremony at 3:00 p.m., with internment of ashes following.
