Anthony Wayne Gilpin, age 39, of Jefferson City, passed away, Thursday, September 11, 2014, due to injuries sustained in an automobile accident.
He was born December 15, 1974, in Jefferson City, a son of Robert and Shirley Hutinger Gilpin, who survive in Russellville.
Anthony was a 1993 graduate of Russellville High School.
He enjoyed being outdoors, where he could hunt and fish, he also enjoyed going to mud-runs with his friends.
However, his greatest enjoyment came from being with his family, where he could spoil his nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by two brothers, Jordan and Dillion Gilpin of Russellville; three sisters, Tina Gessman and husband Daniel and Heather Gilpin and companion Joe Petershagen all of Jefferson City and Rachel Reynolds and companion Larry Alderman of Montreal; special friend, Robin Wieberg of Westphalia; maternal grandparents, James and Ruth Hutinger of Russellville; maternal step great grandmother, Sylvia Ecton of Wichita, Kansas; aunts, uncles, several nieces, nephews, very special cousins and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Eula Gilpin, paternal great grandparents, Earnest and Ruth Gilpin, maternal great grandparents, Lawrence and Georgia Hutinger and Willis and Eula Ecton and an uncle, David Gilpin.
Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, September 17, at the Russellville Baptist Church with the family receiving friends from 12:00 noon until service time. Rev. Walter Gilpin will officiate. Interment will be in the Enloe Cemetery west of Russellville.
