Annalean Romig

Annalean Romig, 88, of Tipton, died Friday, September 17, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital, Jefferson City, Missouri, due to heart complications.

She was born August 31, 1933, in Pilot Grove, Missouri, the daughter of Mary Susanna (Gerke) and Rudolph John Schoen.  On December 30, 1950 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Tipton, she married George Antone Romig, who preceded her in death on August 13, 2016.

She attended Byberry Grade School, east of Otterville, Missouri and went on to attend high school in Otterville.  Annalean was an excellent seamstress and worked at Weber Shoe Factory, until she and George purchased what became The Lucky 6 Convenience Store in Syracuse, which they operated for 18 years.

Surviving are six children, Thomas (Carol) Romig, Leonard (Wilda) Romig, Vincent (Mary) Romig, all of Syracuse; Georgina (Timothy) Huesgen, Bellville, Texas; Rodney (Karen) Romig, St. Charles, and Timothy (St. John) Romig, New York, New York; as well as 9 grandchildren, 3 step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, 11 step-great-grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, September, 24, 2021 at St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, Tipton, Missouri.

The Rosary will be prayed at 8:30 a.m. Friday, September 24, 2021 at Meisenheimer-Page-Dady Funeral Home, Tipton, Missouri, with visitation to follow until 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

Burial will be in St. Andrew’s Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to St. Andrew’s Catholic Church, or to a charity of the family’s choice.
