Amel Curtis Kreglinger, age 82, of Warsaw, formerly of Stover, passed away August 11, 2013 at the Warsaw Health and Rehabilitation Center.
He was born November 6, 1930 in Stover, a son of Paul and Hazel Marriott Kreglinger. He married Madge Perkins and to this union one daughter was born. He later married Velma Brown Campbell who preceded him in death. Curtis moved to Kansas City as a young man, where he worked as a carpenter for many years. He returned to Morgan County, residing in the Florence community and eventually moved to the Warsaw area to be near his daughter.
He enjoyed working with wood and logging timber, but most of all he enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his first wife Madge Kreglinger of Warsaw; his one daughter and son-in-law, Vicki and Kurt Sherman of Deepwater, one grandson and his wife, Clint and Geanna Sherman of Denver and one great grandson, Konrad Alan Sherman; one sister, Sharon Coffman of Burlington, Kentucky; a stepdaughter and son-in-law, Melanie and Jim Lester of Kansas City; five step grandchildren, Trevor, Brandilynn, Mackenzie, Trina, and Autumn and five step great grandchildren; Isabelle, Bradley, Derrick, Tanner and Tristan. In addition to his wife Velma, he was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Edna "Posie" Marriott.
In keeping with his wishes he will be cremated . Private services will be held at a later date with inurnment in the Kreglinger Family Cemetery near Stover. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are suggested to the Kreglinger Cemetery, % Scrivner-Morrow Funeral Home , 210 E. Jasper, Versailles, Mo. 65084.
